Thanks in part to a generous gift from the PSFA, 17 Advanced Biology students recently took a field trip to the Mutter Museum at The College of Physicians in Philadelphia.
After a semester of learning human anatomy and physiology, the students were able to take in all of the unique, strange, and fascinating medical specimens and exhibits the museum offers. In addition to viewing the exhibits, the students took a class in Comparative Skull Drawing. A museum educator taught us about the features of human skulls and how to recognize the details common to specific ages, races, and sexes. After closely observing many skulls the students did some sketches to help them remember the information.
The students had a great time and learned a lot at the same time. Thank you to the PSFA for their generous contribution to our class!
