- Call to Order. President Janet Schneider called the meeting to order at 7:07 pm and lead the group in the Pledge of Allegiance.
- SGA Report: Phin Whedon – Vice President
- Battle of Bands: This will be held on Friday. We have 8 bands competing including a band from Bio Tech, High Tech and MAST. Please attend.
- Spirit Week: The SGA will hosting Spring Spirit Week starting 4/28.

- State Teen Arts Winners – June 4, 2025 at Middlesex College
- Irene Kim for “Leaping into the Daydream” and Kirin Zaidan’s work “untitled” winning for their artwork.
- Ryan Matteo, Tanner Grigoli, and Max O’Reilly for their film “A Very Hallmark Christmas.”
- Ruchira Nekkanti for her writing, “Evolution”

- Grant Request: Ryan Matteo and Ruchira Nekkanti appeared before the PSFA and asked for grant to fund transportation for the State Teen Arts Festival on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 They requested a grant request for $279.57. The PSFA voted on this matter and approved the grant.
- Freehold Mall Art Exhibit is on display from April 9, 2025-April 30, 2025. The following student pieces are being displayed:
- Evie Seetoo for “Taking a Beat”
- Isabel Santamaria whose work “Andalusian Rose” and artwork

- Principal’s Report

- This Saturday CHS will be receiving 31 medals in Skills USA Competition. Congratulations!

- Congratulations to the GSA on an excellent kickoff event with the GSA Soiree.
- The district will be changing the schedule format for each of the district schools. Students must pick classes by April 25.
- There will be a Senior Dinner held this year at the Spring Lake Manor. More details to come.
- Thank you to the PSFA for the bagel breakfast for midterms.

- The proposed slate of officers was announced and remains open until April 15.If there are any additional nominations, please email Janet by April 15. All nominations must be endorsed by one additional PSFA member.
- The Gift Auction is coming up on April 25. The PSFA thanks everyone for their support and contributions.
- Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up. The PSFA will hosting a lunch on May 7 for all teachers and staff members and will provide a small gift as well.
- On May 12 the PSFA will host the a pizza party for the seniors in gratitude for selling the most 50/50 tickets.
- If your child qualified to be an applicant for the PSFA Scholarship they would have received an application from the Guidance Department. Please check in with your students.
- The PSFA has paid for caps and gowns for each of the seniors and will host a “Decision Donuts” breakfast for them in May.
- Color Wars will be held on June 6. We have to sent a list of parent volunteers to the administration. Volunteers are selected from those parents that have been active in the PSFA for the year and from that group, senior parents get preference.

- The March minutes were posted on the PSFA website. There was a motion to approve the minutes by Janet Schneider which was seconded by Kat Hernandez. The March minutes were approved unanimously by the PSFA.

- We hosted Drivers Ed last month and we made a couple hundred dollars. We anticipate that the gift auction will be another successful fundraiser for the PSFA and will report on that next month.

- Color Wars – Diane Calabrese

- The volunteer list has been submitted to the administration.
- The PSFA will pay for the t-shirts for Color Wars for each of the students and parent volunteers.
- She will be coordinating with Hospitality Committee to organize food and drinks donations. Please volunteer when the email comes out.

- The gift auction will be held on Friday, April 25 at The Breakers at 6pm.
- Tickets are nearly sold out.
- If you are a business owner, please consider purchasing an ad in our event booklet.
- The auction will include a silent auction for 6 preferred seats and 2 parking spaces for graduation.
- The proceeds of this fundraiser and every fundraiser goes directly to funding events, clubs, transportation for the senior trip, faculty appreciation, scholarships, breakfasts for the students and so many other benefits for our children. Please support this event through a donation, attending or supporting this event by spreading the word about it!

- We had a sale with Sneakers Plus in the Spring and will plan another one for the Summer.
- We also hosted a CHS spirit wear sale last night at Freshman Orientation.

- The PSFA was present at the Freshman Orientation last night and we are hopeful that a number of families will join following our efforts last night.

- Thank you to everyone who helped with the bagel breakfasts. We will host one more in June and will give senior parents preference.
- Thank you to everyone who contributed snacks for Orientation.
- Please look for emails in May for Color Wars for donations.

- Next PSFA Meeting is on May 8 at 7pm. It will be in person.
