May 14, 2026

 

Executive Board Members Present:

  • Call to Order.   President Patti Riddle called the meeting to order at 7:06 pm.  The meeting was held in person is Room 107.  
  • SGA Report  – Shawn Ribeiro (President)
      1. April Recap: CCC Festival was a great hit. The CHS Drama Club performed their Spring Musical “Mean Girls” April 24-25th.
      2. May- Spirit Week was last week, great job by everyone, lip sync battle was a highlight.   Looking forward to many senior events like DDD and Senior Awards Night as well as Prom on May 21st.
      3. Looking forward to Color Wars June 5th and thank the PSFA for their support. 
    2. Funds request by Skills USA to cover transportation costs for upcoming trip. One senior student is going to Nationals in Atlanta. Request approved. 
  • Principal’s Report – Emily Bonilla
      1. NJDOE Testing will be scheduled in the months ahead along with additional statewide testing.   Emails will be sent home with the dates.   
      2. AP Testing currently taking place and are all listed on the District Google Calendar. 
      3. Finals will be held on Tues, Wed and Thurs – June 16-18.   Finals will be by subject and not schedule periods.    More information to come.  The students will have a bagel breakfast then some study time with a morning exam, an hour lunch and then the second final in the afternoon.  
      4. Please remind your students to watch their attendance as we get towards the end of the year.    Also, if your senior has any tardy or attendance issues, they will need to stay the full day of school on the day of prom.    Prom dismissals are based on attendance. 
      5. Skills USA wins, discussed categories and state and national championships. 
      6. Senior events upcoming. Discussed Graduation timing, location and logistics.
      7. Senior Capstone Night is on June 10.   
  • President’s Report – Patti Riddle 
      1. New Executive board voted in. 
      2. Spring Gala was a success, discussed funds raised and need for a new Spring Gala Chairperson, possibility of alternate fundraising options for the future. 
      3. Upcoming Senior Events: Prom is on May 21; Sr Awards Night is 5/27- Lawn Signs will be distributed; Sr Trip on 6/11; and Sr Breakfast on 6/12. Also discussed DDDs 6/12 and Bagel Breakfast 6/15. 
      4. We are looking for the following chairs for the following positions for next year:  Fundraising Committee and Teacher Appreciation Committee.  
  • Spring Spirit Wear 
      1.  Spirit wear orders are ready and will go out soon.
  • Treasurer  – Hope Pressler
      1. Reviewed Gala revenue and costs. As well as monthly budget items and upcoming May/June items such as Senior events. 
  • Secretary’s Report – Melissa Skrocki (Kat Hernandez filled in)
    1. The minutes from the April meeting were posted on the website.  A motion was made to approve the minutes and the members unanimously approved the minutes.  

 

Our next meeting is on June 4th at 7pm at CHS, final meeting of the school year.
