- Call to Order. President Patti Riddle called the meeting to order at 7:03 pm and lead the group in the Pledge of Allegiance.
- Grant Proposal
-
- Mx Gesin – GSA would like to do more outreach to the community and promote belonging in the community. Garden State Equality does a ½ day training day for student leaders. It will help with community across the grades (not just within a grade). It is $600 for workshop at CHS on 11/17. The workshop would have one or two students from each club at the training. A grant request was approved to pay the $600 fee.
- Ms. Bonilla – They are requesting $300 for a charging station in the office for students. We asked for additional information.
- SGA Report – Kyla Kidorf (VP)
-
- Thank you for the PSFA for all of your continued support.
- Club Fair was held at the end of September. The unofficial club fair will be held next Friday. The career academies have a limit on staff stipends for clubs and those are for official clubs. Unofficial clubs are for smaller interests with flexibility. Unofficial clubs cannot fundraise or go on trips.
- Information Sessions are coming up and the SGA is working with Ms. Bonilla to change up the structure for this year’s sessions.
- Homecoming will be held 11/14.
- October 27-31 is Spirit Week. We will be announcing the contests as we lead up to that week.
- Students are struggling a bit still with the new schedule but CHS students are resilient and we are hoping the administration will continue to work to improve things.
- Principal Report
-
- Field Testing for NJ is coming up.
- PSAT testing for 10th graders; 11th grade will be held next month.
- Schedule: There is an adjustment. Ms. Bonilla and a junior worked on a student survey which will be distributed tomorrow to each of the students. We will be using that data to help with the adjustment. At a future date we will be sending a survey to parents as well.
- President’s Report – Patti Riddle and Kat Hernandez

- We now have a Teacher Appreciation Committee and it will be charged by Carin MacCarrick. Anyone interested in helping, please reach out to Carin.

- We are having a parent chat next month with Andy Newberry on how to select schools for your students. It will be held on November 13 at 6pm at CHS
- We hosted 40 families for the Beach Social which included lots of beach games. The Juniors won $100 and the Sophomores won $50 for their class bank with their participation. There are photos online.
- Vice President Report – Janelle Checkett

- Super 50/50 – We have started sales of our Super 50/50 and will draw winning tickets in December. We have already sold 58 tickets. Only 300 tickets will be sold. Please support this fundraiser for the PSFA. Please be sure to note your child’s class. The class who sells the most will get a pizza party.
